Curly Sedge, Old Mans Whiskers
A favourite, coz it lookls like my bad hair day. Plant 30-80cm tall with dark brown leaf sheaths. upper sheatsh subtending clusters of curved branchlets; banclets divided several times, becoming fine and flexuose of coiled. Spikelets solitary on fine stalks resembling ultimate branchlets; upper flower bisexual, lower flower male both with 3-4 pendulous stamens. Common in Blue Mountains.
