romantic grass of the week - erogrostis interrupta - another love grass family, but this is a native, found sprawled over at peregian beach, qld and northern nsw, on sandy dunes, inflourescence is a purplish panicle but looks like lone spikelet 30-90cm long on a stem that can reach 1.8m, flowers and fruits mar-may, july, sep-dec, leaves a bit scabrous
